Cadet college to be set up in Ziarat, says CM Bizenjo

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo has announced the decision to establish a cadet college and municipal corporation in Ziarat and hold an annual festival in the town.

While talking to the local people and tourists during his visit to Ziarat on Saturday, the chief minister directed Chief Secretary Mathar Niaz Rana to take immediate steps for implementation of the project.

He also announced Rs500,000 for veteran local singer Akhtar Channel who had suffered a heart attack a few months ago.

“We should not be divided into north and south as the government believes in giving equal attention to the development of Balochistan,” he said, adding that the difference between Baloch and Pashtoon areas would be removed by giving a development package for the northern areas.

Mr Bizenjo said he would soon announce a package at Loralai and Zhob.

“We want to give development packages to these areas in the same way that the Pashtoon voters have made the Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) successful.”

A large number of tourists, who came to Ziarat from different parts of the country, including Karachi, Lahore, Hyderabad, Sukkur and Multan, met the chief minister and informed him that they were enjoying their stay in the beautiful hill station of Ziarat.

Mr Bizenjo said that Ziarat has its own importance and beauty which attracts tourists from across the country and in summer thousands of people visit Ziarat along with their families.

“It is our responsibility to take care of tourists,” he said and directed the chief secretary to open government rest houses for the tourists.

BAP Secretary General Senator Manzoor Ahmad Khan Kakar, provincial ministers Noor Mohammad Dummar, Mitha Khan Kakar, Mohammad Khan Tor Utamakheil, Mobin Khilji, Mohammad Lehri and Sardar Masood Luni were also present on the occasion.
