MARDAN: A young man and his mother were killed when their motorcycle was hit by a tractor trolley near Ring Road in Muhib Banda here on Monday.

Rescue-1122 officials said that they rushed to the spot after getting information about the accident.

They said that the victims were identified as 22-year-old Yasir and his mother.

They said that the young man was taking his ailing mother to a doctor when a tractor trolley loaded with bricks hit their motorcycle, killing them on the spot.

Officials said that they shifted the dead bodies to Mardan Medical Complex for medico-legal process.

Meanwhile, an old enmity claimed the life of a 35-year-old man in Ameen village of Mazdoorabad in Takht Bhai tehsil on Monday.

Police officials said that the victim identified as Mohammad Israr was shot dead by his rivals when he was going home.

Police registered FIR against alleged killers identified as Mohammad Bashir and his two sons Hazrat Nabi and Umar Bashir on the complaint of Anwar, the father of the deceased.

Police said that they were making efforts to arrest the alleged killers.
