PTI march to reach Karachi in eight days
KARACHI: The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf on Sunday announced the schedule of its Ghotki-to-Karachi march to be held on Feb 26 — just a day before the rival Pakistan Peoples Party’s long march against the federal government.
In a statement issued here, Maritime Affairs Minister and PTI’s Sindh chapter president Ali Zaidi came up with the details of the march, which his party was organising against the alleged bad governance of the PPP government in the province.
Mr Zaidi said that the march “against Zardari mafia” would begin on Feb 26 and he would lead it along with Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, who is also the vice chairman of the PTI, from Ghotki.
“On February 27, the participants of the march will pass through Shikarpur, Kashmore and Jacobabad,” he said in the statement. “The march will move forward to Qambar-Shahdadkot on 28th and on March 1 it will pass through Khairpur, Naushahro Feroze and Nawabshah. On March 2, the march will arrive at Sanghar and Mirpurkhas.”
The march would pass through Umerkot, Tharparkar and Badin on March 3 and would reach Tando Muhammad Khan, Tando Allahyar and Matiari on March 4.
“On the final leg of the march, it will reach Hyderabad on March 5 and culminate on March 6 in Karachi with a huge rally,” he said.
