PHF hires two more foreign coaches
LAHORE: The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has inducted two more foreign coaches into the national team’s management.
Earlier, it appointed Siegfried Gottlieb Aikman of the Netherlands as head coach.
Denial Berry of Australia has been hired as physical trainer while Bob Johan Veldhof is the goalkeeping coach.
Pakistan’s former Olympian goalkeeper Ahmad Alam is also part of the team management.
Olympian Khawaja Junaid, who was head coach before Aikman took charge this year from him, has been appointed as the manager while Ajmal Khan Lodhi, Waseem Ahmad and Syed Sameer Husain are three assistant coaches. Mohammad Aslam is physio.
32 probables invited to national camp
Meanwhile, the PHF invited 32 probables for a training camp being held in Lahore from March 1 to 31 for the Asia Cup.
Besides the Asia Cup, the dates and venue for which are yet to be announced, the PHF has a good number of international activities and international tours coming up during 2022.
