ANP dissolves its Peshawar body for reorganisation

PESHAWAR: The Awami National Party (ANP) on Tuesday dissolved its organisational structure in the provincial metropolis and constituted a committee of senor members to reorganise the party at the grassroots level.

The decision was taken in a meeting held at Bacha Khan Markaz with the party’s provincial president Aimal Wali Khan here. Many of the senior leaders, elected representatives including Haji Ghulam Ahmad Bilour, Syed Aqil Shah, Salahuddin Mohmand, Shagufta Malik, Khadim Hussain, Samar Haroon Bilour and Khushdil Khan advocate shared views about the reorganization, according to a statement.

The reorganisation committee is headed by provincial senior vice-president Khushdil Khan advocate as its chairman, Arbab Usman Khan as vice-chairman and Yaseen Khalil will work as secretary of the body. The committee was instructed to complete its work within shortest possible time.

Other members of the reorganisation committee include, Liaquat Khan, Haji Mumtaz Khan, Ghazanfar Ali, Mian Nisar, Razaullah Khan, Ashfaq Khalil, Haji Siddique Afridi, Tariq Afghan advocate, Arsalan Khan, Sabz Ali Khan, Malik Farhad Khan, Haji Umer Khan, Haji Sher Rehman, Haji Sardar Zeb, Malik Naseem Khan, Haji Muhammad ullah, Shagufta Malik and Ayesha Momand.

It was stated that as per instructions of the provincial election commission of the party the reorganisation committee will nominate the office-bearers at grassroots level (village councils and neighborhood councils) as early as possible.

The district level organisation will be announced after completion of the organisational units at the lowest levels.
