Two arrested for harassing schoolgirls

OKARA: Two boys were arrested for harassing two schoolgirls at Hujra Shah Muqeem on Saturday.

As per the FIR registered by the girls’ maternal uncle Khalid Saeed, two sisters, students of 9th and 10th of the Government Girls School, Hujra Shah Muqeem, left the school to go back home in Imdad Colony. On the way, Ali Shahzad, Ali Shoaib and Ali Raza intercepted them and harassed them.

The girls told the family about the incident. When their uncle, Saeed, went to the house of the suspects to complain about the incident, they threatened him with dire consequences and flashed a weapon at him. The neighbours rescued the complainant.

The Hujra Shah Muqeem police registered a case and arrested Shahzad and Shoaib while Raza was still at large.

According to the DPO office, six suspects are already behind bars in two harassment cases.
