MUZAFFARGARH: The 12th Syndicate meeting of the MNS University of Engineering and Technology, Multan (UET-M), has approved several academic and administrative matters. Vice-Chancellor Dr Syed Mansoor Sarwar chaired the meeting which approved the extension of academic leave during PhD programmes of various teachers, purchase of new buses for students, pay scale upgrade and recovery of student fees.

MPA Malik Wasif Mazhar Raan, Shahida Ahmed, Prof Dr Asif Ali (VC of MNS Agriculture University), Ghulam Saghir (HED additional secretary), Shah Sawar (divisional director), Saira Raza, Prof Dr Abid Latif (Department of Civil Engineering, BZU), and Dr Sadiq Hussain (NFCIT) attended the meeting.

Dr Sarwar said the UET-M will be made a university on a par with the UET, Lahore, as there is no shortage of talent among the students of south Punjab. He said the problems faced by the university had been solved by the present Punjab government. The land was acquired for the construction of the Lar Complex in 2020 and funds were released the next year due to which the construction is in full swing.

POLICE: The Police Line of Multan is hosting a series of sports for the promotion of healthy activities in which police officers and employees are actively participating.

Additional DIG Saadia Saeed participated in table tennis competitions. She said even though the hours of duty are very difficult, Multan Police has provided healthy entertainment to its employees by organizing sports.
