Two memorial cups top racing action in Lahore today
LAHORE: A six-event card featuring two memorial cup races — Munir Ahmad Dar Memorial Cup and Mir Ikram Mahmood Memorail Cup — highlight the 29th Lahore Winter Meeting which gets under way here at the Racecourse on Sunday.
A term race for three-year-old colts and fillies to be gone over 1300 metres, the Munir Ahmad Dar Memorial Cup named after former steward of the Jockey Club Of Pakistan and iconic hockey player, has only six runners.
The Mir Ikram Mahmood Memorial Cup, to be contested over 1300 metres, also has six runners.
The first race will be held at 1:00pm.
