Productivity over procrastination

This is regarding the cover article “Productivity over procrastination” by Ramna Fatima Pahilwani (YW, March 12). The writer is right about the importance of productivity over procrastination.

If you procrastinate, you will never reach your goals in time, which will result in you being left out from all walks of life. Doing things on time, or when you are required to do a task, gives you confidence and you can also avoid last minute errors.

The pen

This is with reference to the story, “The pen” by M Arham Usman (YW, February 26). The story highlighted the effects of losing control over one’s temptations, resulting in embarrassment and sometimes disaster.

If you keep control on your emotions, especially towards something which is not yours, you will never face any humiliation in your life. Have patience and control over yourself and your emotions. If you really want to have something, own it by legal means and not by illegal ones.

This is particularly relevant in today’s world where people want to become rich overnight, by using any means, often illegal, to acquire wealth and status. If from childhood a person is trained to not use unfair means to get something, then they will also avoid doing so when they grow up.

A chance to prove

This is with reference to the story “A chance to prove” by Mahira Aziz (YW, March 5). The story was indeed very encouraging, especially for girls. It showed that girls aren’t less than boys in any way. They just need to have a chance to show what they are capable of.

Today, girls are working alongside boys in every field; they are smart, intelligent and capable in just everything, all they need is to fight the fears inside them.

As success is the sum of small efforts repeated day in and day out, all our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them.

Therefore, go out, follow your dreams and believe that victory will be yours.

Proud son

This is regarding the story “Proud son” by Rida Rahman (YW, February 26). The story beautifully described the changing situations we face every day.

In our daily life, various things happen, some good and some bad, it is up to us to accept every situation as it is. Those who do so, live a content life, while those who don’t, go through the mental anguish.
