3 ‘militants’ shot dead in Dera Ismail Khan

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Security forces on Saturday shot dead three suspected militants belonging to the outlawed Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

Dera Ismail Khan police spokesman Imtiaz Ali Janjua said that police and security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in the Maddi area of Kulachi. During the operation, the militants attacked security forces.

The security forces returned the fire and killed three most wanted militants.

The deceased were identified as Kamal alias Kamali, Saleem and Ehsan. They were stated to be affiliated with the TTP (Gandapur group).

The security forces recovered three SMG rifles, three hand-grenades, nine spare magazines and one mobile phone from the militants’ possession.

The deceased were involved in attacks on Frontier Corps Fort Tank, police personnel guarding the polio team in Kulachi, targeted killings of policemen and attacks on army bases.
