Sindh govt promotes five officers to grade 21

KARACHI: The Sindh government has issued notifications for appointments of recently promoted provincial bureaucrats in grade-21on a regular basis, it emerged on Thursday.

A provincial selection board, presided over by Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, has recently given approval of the promotions of five provincial officers to grade-21 from grade-20.

According to a notification issued by acting chief secretary Baqaullah Unnar, Ex-PCS officer Makhdoom Shakeel-uz-Zaman serving as deputy managing director (finance) of the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board is transferred and posted with immediate effect and until further orders as chairman (BS-21) of the chief minister’s inspection, enquiries and implementation department against an existing vacancy.

Another notification says that incumbent information secretary Abdul Rasheed Solangi has been promoted to grade-21, but he is allowed to continue till the time he holds the next post.

Similarly, after promotion to grade-21, culture, tourism, antiquities and archives secretary Abdul Rahim Soomro has been allowed to continue on the said post till the time he holds the next post.

Moreover, on promotion to BS-21 on a regular basis, Syed Imtiaz Ali Shah is allowed to continue as member (Gothabad), Sindh Board of Revenue till further posting.

Another grade-21 officer, Saeed Ahmed Awan, is also allowed to continue as secretary of the public health engineering and rural development department till the time he holds the next post.
