New DC Islamabad takes charge
ISLAMABAD: Irfan Nawaz Memon, a BS-19 officer of Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS), assumed the charge of the deputy commissioner Islamabad on Monday.
He succeeded Mohammad Hamza Shafqaat, who was transferred to the Establishment Division on Saturday.
Mr Memon earlier worked as the deputy commissioner of Quetta. He also served as the director general Information
Technology Balochistan, Punjab Food Authority, chief executive officer Punjab Health Facilities Management Company, additional director Civil Services Academy Lahore, DC Toba Tek Sing, additional collector/additional DC Lahore, and deputy secretary personal staff officer to the chief minister Punjab.
He completed his LLM (Comparative and International Dispute Resolution) from Queen Mary University of London, bachelors of Engineering (Mechanical) from National University of Sciences and Technology, Rawalpindi, and Pakistan Navy Engineering College Karachi) and intermediate and matriculation from
Chinar Army Public School and College Murree.
“I have taken over as DC Islamabad. I shall try to meet expectations of the residents of Islamabad, need your prayers, Pakistan Zindabad,” Mr Memon tweeted.
