Free eye camp held in Kohat village

KOHAT: The Al-Shifa Eye Trust Hospital, Kohat, on Tuesday organised a free camp in Shahpur village here, where 300 elderly men and women were checked and given glasses and medicines, while 20 patients were referred to the hospital for operations.

Sons of Kohat, a local welfare organisation, had asked the hospital for the camp.

The local people thanked the hospital’s management for organising the eye camp in the far-flung area.

MOBILE UTILITY STORE: Utility Stores Corporation, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief Mehtab Banoori has said a mobile utility store would be arranged in Daboori area of upper Orakzai to facilitate about 5,000 poor tribesmen.

He made the decision on the request of the Orakzai deputy commissioner during a meeting with him. He said a truckload of essential items would be sent to the area.

Mr Banoori also promised setting up a utility store outlet in Daboori area.
