Robbers loot cash, valuables in 26 strikes
ISLAMABAD: Robbers looted cash and valuables from 26 different places, police said on Thursday.
In the first incident, a man narrowly escaped robbers firing in F-17, police said, adding that the robbers tried to intercept Mohammad Amin but he sped away his motorcycle.
As a result the robbers opened fire on him, but he remained unhurt, they added.
Three robbers looted Rs25,000 cash and three mobile phones from a store in Alipur, the police said, adding that a robber robbed a school teacher Shahnaz Abdullah of cash, ATM card, and a mobile phone in I-14/3.
A milkman in Humak was deprived of Rs4,000 cash and three robbers snatched three mobile phones at gunpoint from Amir Saifullah in G-10/2.
Similarly, three gunmen snatched three mobile phones from Yasir Sultan and his two friends near a Church in F-8 at gunpoint.
Abrar Ahmed was deprived of Rs2,500, a mobile phone and a car’s key and escaped.
Two gunmen snatched a mobile phone from Adnan Ahmed in Ghouri Town and escaped.
Moreover, some thieves stole cable worth Rs400,000 from Parliament Lodges.
Likewise, a thief stole Rs20,000 cash and two mobile phones form a resident of Mohammad Usman in F-11/4.
Some thieves broke into a Lahori Nashta Centre in Rawat and made off with Rs35,000 cash.
Furthermore, some burglars broke into a rent a car showroom in G-10 and made off with Rs229,000 cash, a 9MM pistol and a mobile phone, the police said.
Meanwhile, three vehicles, a Toyota Corolla, an Alto and a Mehran were stolen from Soan Camp, parking area of Foreign Office and G-10/4 respectively.
The police said 10 motorcycles were lifted from Pims, Sanam Chowk, G-7/2, Sharifabad, Phulgran, Numl, I-9/4, Alipur, Simly Dam Road and Rawat. Besides, a culprit snatched a mobile phone from Ulfat Fazal in Golra.
