PTI legislator apologises to workers for lodging police case
BAJAUR: Differences between Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf MNA Gul Dad Khan and a group of party activists, which cropped up after the former got registered an FIR against the latter for protesting outside his residence here a few months ago, have been resolved.
The development came after Mr Dad along with party workers and members of a conciliation committee visited former PTI Bajaur general secretary Haji Said Ahmad Jan’s residence in Khar town on Thursday night.
Speaking at the reconciliation ceremony, the lawmaker said he always respected the party workers. He said he regretted getting a case registered against his own party workers, and offered his apologies to them.
Party activists, including Haji Said Ahmd Jan, Imran Mughal, Mansoor Khan, Farman Khan and others, appreciated the MNA for seeking apology from them. They said registration of FIR had created bad blood between the lawmaker and the party activists.
They said the residents of Utmankhel tehsil had staged the protest demonstration against the MNA in September 2021 for ignoring the region in development schemes.
They advised the MNA to improve his relations with residents in general and party workers in particular.
