Workers believe PTI’s popularity graph rising
ISLAMABAD: A number of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) workers believe that the popularity of the party has been going up since its establishment 26 years ago.
They had gathered at the party office located in G-8 to celebrate the 26th founding day of the PTI. The day brought a sigh of relief for the party workers as Islamabad High Court (IHC) suspended its earlier order to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to conclude the foreign funding case against the party within 30 days.
Senator Fawzia Arshad, while talking to Dawn, said it was a blessing that the party had completed 26 years with its popularity increasing by leaps and bounds every year.
“The way of truth is difficult but our leader Imran Khan has the determination due to which he excelled,” she said.
Say IHC decision as per their expectations
When asked how she took the decision of the IHC, Senator Arshad said it came according to the expectation of the people.
When asked if the current government was performing well, she said it was following the dictation of the International Monetary Fund (IMF). She also said the government was incompetent and would not be able to run the country.
PTI’s Secretary General for Islamabad chapter Shahzad Gul said the PML-N was not prepared at all to run the country as the government was handed over to it all of a sudden.
“PML-N used to claim that it had run the country three times and will overcome all issues but now it has been proved that it is not competent enough. I assume that the ruling parties have only one agenda - to remove their names from the Exit Control List (ECL) and close cases of corruption against them.”
In reply to a question, Mr Gul said the rupee was continuously depreciating. He claimed that the government will soon get panic and call general elections.
Member National Assembly Abida Raja said the regime was changed on the direction of America and that was why the political parties whose leaders were not ready to see the faces of each other got united.
“The money came from America and was used for buying loyalties of the PTI legislators and now all of them have been exposed. I believe that soon elections will be held as the government is not capable to control the issues,” she said.
PTI’s Advisory Council member Amir Mughal said: “We have to reclaim our independence as the whole nation is united. Elections will be held soon and we have been demanding the high court and Supreme Court to ensure merit in decisions. The ECP should decide cases of all political parties the same day,” he said.
