Concern over low admissions in dental colleges

ISLAMABAD: Matters related to admissions in dental colleges besides other issues faced by students were discussed on Thursday during a seminar organised by the Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC).

According to a statement, the seminar was attended by members of the PMC Council, academic board, National Medical Authority and representatives of all Pakistani public and private dental colleges.

Participants shared their observations and recommendations regarding low admission ratio in the dental programme, Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT) and introduction of a five-year BDS programme along with other issues.

Representatives of public and private dental colleges appreciated the role of the PMC for organising such consultative and interactive seminars on issues which clearly reflect the intentions of PMC in addressing pressing issues faced by students.
