How to know your friends and enemies
This is regarding the cover article, “How to know your friends and enemies” by Umema Imran (YW, April 23). It was an article worth reading that guided us to be aware of fake friends.
The write-up contained useful suggestions to identify the difference between real and fake friends. Always observe the friends you are sitting and hanging out with. Avoid being in the circle of those who take advantage of you. Fake friends are more dangerous than enemies.
It is rightly said that “Don’t fear the enemy that attacks you, but the fake friend that hugs you.” Friendship is an emotional human relationship, therefore, it should be genuine and sincere.

Make yourself a priority
This is regarding the article “Make yourself a priority” by Ramna Fatima Pahilwani (YW, April 16). It was a beautiful read.
It is so important to look after yourself. There’s no need to change who you are to fit in with someone else’s idea of perfection, you don’t need to prove anything to anyone. Learn to let go!
You can’t control the past; the future or how other people perceive you. And the sooner you make peace with that, the happier you’ll be.
Always acknowledge your wins and be proud of yourself.

I agree with almost all the points Ramna Fatima Pahilwani shared in her article “Make yourself a priority”.
It was an amazing article. Whether we accept it or not, we won’t always be a priority to others, so we have to make ourselves a priority to ourselves. Therefore, learn to respect yourself and become your own support system.
Don’t wait for others to choose you. Be confident and lead your way.

A day not meant for me
This is regarding the story, “A day not meant for me” by Abdullah Farhan (YW, April 16). It was a nice story, quite relatable to my life.
It is true that we often don’t know about our hidden abilities and skills, until something happens which leads us to shine. Encouragement and praise also count in one’s progress. If kids are supported and encouraged, then they will shine like a star and show the world their hidden potential.
So, we should never underestimate anyone, even ourselves. Always believe that we are strong and capable of doing many amazing things, we just need the right time and chance.
