Protests planned to condemn unfair trial of JKLF chief

MUZAFFARABAD: Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas on Tuesday announced that Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control and elsewhere in the world would take to streets on Thursday to condemn fake cases and one-sided trial of Yasin Malik in a New Delhi court.

“India’s rulers and institutions are Janus-faced and no good can be expected from them. But we are sure the world will not accept India’s Machiavellianism this time round,” he said at a press conference here at PM House.

He was accompanied by Legislative Assembly speaker Chaudhry Anwarul Haq and several cabinet members.

The AJK premier maintained that Mr Malik was not a layman but a prominent Kashmiri leader who had been selflessly struggling to achieve freedom for his oppressed nation through nonviolent means.
