SOCIAL INSENSITIVITY:

SOCIAL INSENSITIVITY: The insensitive use of high-volume loudspeakers has become a nuisance in cities big or small. Annoyingly, the loudspeakers have now become an integral part of routine celebrations, like marriages and birthday parties. The excessive use of loudspeakers has taken the already high noise pollution to an entirely new level. The use of loudspeakers is justified on certain circumstances, but using them unnecessarily cannot be justified. The lawmakers need to regulate the use of loudspeakers through proper legislation.

DESERTED SCHOOL: The future of many children living in Haji Juman Rajper village is in the doldrums, as the school there stands deserted due to the absence of teachers. An amount close to Rs10 million was spent on setting up the school, but the building means nothing without a teacher. The children are compelled to earn when they need to learn. The relevant authorities must take immediate action to ensure quality education for all children.

PAK-TURKEY TIES: This year, Pakistan and Turkey would be marking 75 years of bilateral ties. At a press conference, jointly addressed by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, a logo was unveiled to mark the occasion. Pakistan Post and State Bank have already issued commemorative stamps and coins to acknowledge the 75th anniversary of the establishment of Pakistan’s diplomatic relations with Germany and China. It would be fitting to issue a similar coin and stamp related to our bilateral ties with Turkey.
