Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels expansion revealed

On July 19th, Forza Horizon 5 players will get a new expansion based on the Hot Wheels brand. The expansion will feature four new biomes, complete with iconic orange Hot Wheels tracks. Xbox is calling these the “most extreme tracks ever in a Horizon game.”

The expansion will also add 10 new vehicles, four of which will be based on actual Hot Wheels cars. It also features a five-part story, which will “celebrate the history of Hot Wheels.”

Players will have the option of enjoying this in single-player, or through co-op, and will be able to create new tracks using “80 distinct, snappable track pieces.” Players can then share their creations with the game’s community.

While Forza Horizon 5 is available on Xbox Game Pass, the Hot Wheels expansion is a separate purchase.

Mario Kart ride incorporates augmented reality

Universal Studios Hollywood announced details of the upcoming ride Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge, expected to open in 2023, in the park’s Super Nintendo World. It will blend vehicles on a track with augmented reality effects.

Universal Studios attendees will enter Super Nintendo World through a live-action ‘warp pipe’ like those in Super Mario Bros. Riders will wear augmented reality goggles that provide simulated environments they will recognise from the games. The ride is appropriate for all ages and riders will represent ‘Team Mario.’

Super Nintendo World opens in 2023 and will include Mario merchandise.

Justin Bieber reveals facial paralysis

Justin Bieber says a rare disorder that paralysed half of the superstar performer’s face is the reason behind his tour postponement.

The multi-Grammy winner is suffering from Ramsay Hunt syndrome, he said in a video he posted on Instagram. The syndrome causes facial paralysis and affects nerves in the face through a shingles outbreak.

Bieber’s post comes after he cancelled his shows in Toronto and Washington, D.C. The video showed Bieber could barely move one side of his face, calling the ailment “pretty serious.”

“For those frustrated by my cancellations of the next shows, I’m just physically, obviously not capable of doing them,” he said. The singer added, “My body’s telling me I’ve got to slow down. I hope you guys understand.”

Bieber appeared positive about making a full recovery through rest and therapy.
