IHC admin stops proceeding against five officials
ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) administration has withdrawn proceeding against its five officials - an assistant registrar and four drivers - who were accused of rash driving.
The deputy registrar (administration) of the IHC had sought explanations from Assistant Registrar Shahid Nadeem, drivers Qamar Zaman, Mohammad Iqbal, Zahoor Khan and Mobin Ahmed. They were on their way towards Haripur to offer funeral prayers for IHC Chief Justice Athar Minallah’s mother-in-law on June 28.
The administration directed the officials to explain why disciplinary proceeding may not be initiated against them under the Efficiency and Discipline Rules.
However, according to a July 2 order, the explanation was no longer needed.
“There is no need to submit any explanation in this regard as the same was issued due to some misperception,” it added.
