Fantastic dads in Disney and Pixar movies

This is regarding the cover article “Fantastic dads in Disney and Pixar movies” by Benazir Raz Soomro (YW, June, 18).

The movies from Disney and Pixar always have something to learn from them — sometimes a lesson and sometimes a story that teaches us what we usually don’t understand in our daily life.

Similarly, when it comes to the characters in such movies, they are always wonderful and unique. And the careful selection of the wonderful fathers being portrayed in these movies by the writer was very interesting to read.

The fathers portrayed in Disney and Pixar movies often show cool and loving characteristics of a father.

A point to be noted here is that fathers may not show their love by hugging you daily or kissing your forehead.

His love can be felt in things that are far more meaningful; such as you see him waiting outside your school to pick you up under the scorching heat and still smiling at you; sometimes you see him busy and frustrated but still fulfilling all your needs with a smile.

You see him working hard day and night so you can have luxuries. He makes you feel secure by his unconditional love and support.

So take care of your parents not only on such celebrations, but each and every day.

The gorgeous garden

This is regarding the article “The gorgeous garden,” by Muhammad Qasim Shafi, (YW, June 18). The article highlighted the importance of the gardens and parks in our life.

A garden is a place where people go and relax under the shade of trees and see various plants and greenery around them. It not only refreshes one, but also purifies the air around us as we breathe.

Therefore, it is important to have parks and gardens in every locality. I request the government to allot more places to make parks and gardens in all towns and cities of the country.

To fail doesn’t mean to fall

This is regarding the article “To fail does not mean to fall” by Fatima Bintay Salman, (YW, June 11). The writer well-narrated that when we do hard work, we put all our energy to get that thing done. But sometimes we fail to get the desired result, which makes us depressed and we don’t seem to come out from that grief.

At such times, we should think that nothing is impossible, all we have to do is put some more effort and try again. Failing to get the desired result doesn’t mean our life has ended, in fact, it means that we have to try again and work harder.
