Two brothers shot dead over old enmity in Swabi

SWABI: Two young brothers were killed and two others injured when they were targeted by their rivals over an old enmity in Pabbini village here on Friday night, the police said.

Officials said the men were targeted when they were going home.

District police officer Mohammad Shoaib Khan said one of the injured, Gul Rehan, told the police that he along with his brothers, Ameer Sher and Ghani Sher, and a relative Qadir Khan was returning home when Sirzamin Khan, Qayyum Khan and Nighmat Khan attacked them.

As a result, he said his two brothers were killed on the spot, while he along with Qadir were injured, and were taken to the District Headquarters Hospital.

The bodies were also taken to the DHQ hospital for autopsy.

The cause of the incident was stated to be an old enmity between the victims and the attackers.

The Swabi city police station registered an FIR and started investigations.
