Whenever we buy sunglasses or spectacles, we get a case with them. The purpose of the case is of course to protect the glass from dust, scratches and any type of external damage. However, these cases don’t have a cool or trendy look.

So if you want something funky and get rid of the boxy look of your glasses case, let’s make a case in shape of a doughnut that looks not only pretty, but can easily fit in your purse or bag too.

Things you need:

1. Two foam sheets (colours of your choice).
2. Small piece of Velcro
3. Scissors
4. Ruler
5. Markers
6. Compass
7. Hot glue
8. White glue

Directions:

1. With the help of a compass, make a circle according to the size of your glasses/spectacles it should roughly be 3.5 inches on compass and the total circumference should be 7 inches; see pictures 2 and 3.

2. Cut it out. Now make another circle of total circumference 1.5 inches in the centre, and cut it out; picture 4.

3. Take another foam sheet, I’m using red here, make a circle of 3-inch on compass to make 6-inch circumference, picture 5.

4. Cut it out in a similar way; then cut out a small circle from its centre according to the previous one; see picture 6.

5. Now make the wavy edges on the red circle as if the crème melting on the doughnut, picture 7.

6. Put white glue on one side of the wavy circle then paste it on the plain one circle, picture 8.

7. Make eyes and mouth with black marker, and then make sprinkles all over the doughnut; pictures 9 and 10.

8. Paste small piece of Velcro on the backside of the doughnut on top and the bottom, picture 11.

9. Put your glasses inside and tuck both sides together, your very own funky spectacles/glasses case is ready!
