Train carrying relief goods arrives from Turkiye
TAFTAN: Another train carrying relief items for flood victims arrived from Turkiye at Taftan, a town near the Pakistan-Iran border in Chagai district, on Sunday.
According to official sources, the train, comprising 28 compartments, was loaded with 630 tonnes of food and other relief items.
This was the fifth shipment by the Turkish Red Crescent, which has already sent almost 2,000 tonnes of relief items in four trains.
Sources in Pakistan Railways told Dawn the train would be offloaded at Dalbandin Station, as the track ahead of it was closed for routine maintenance. The relief items will then be transported to Quetta by road.
