Private schools want parents’ demos banned

KARACHI: Several private schools associations came together to hold a joint press conference at the Karachi Press Club on Monday to denounce the recent statements being issued against them by Prof Salman Raza, the director general at the directorate of inspection and registration of private institutions.

They also demanded that the provincial government put a ban on protests outside schools, saying parents with any grievance may take their protests to the directorate of private institutions’ complaint section.

The private schools’ associations shared their own anger and frustration over the DG allegedly calling them a blood thirsty mafia earning billions of rupees.

All Private Schools Management Association Sindh chairman Syed Tariq Shah asked the chief minister and education minister to look into the matter and remove Prof Raza from the post.\
