Two held as Dera police solve blind murder case

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Police claimed to have solved a blind murder and arrested two persons involved in the killing of a man, who had been found dead in Muchorra village.

According to police spokesman, the deceased identified as Sher Zaman was tortured and strangled to death on Oct 15 in presence of his children in Muchorra village.

He said that police traced the killers, who turned out to be the deceased’s wife and her cousin Habibullah. Both of them confessed to strangling Sher Zaman to death with a scarf, he added.

He said that police also recovered the scarf used in the crime.

Meanwhile, a man allegedly killed a 19-year-old youth in Sher Shah Suri Town.

Amanullah Baloch filed a report in Dera Town police station that Suleman shot dead his 19-year-old son Sajjad Ahmed. He alleged that the accused had illicit relations with his wife and his son was hindering him.
