BHC CJ takes notice of firing

QUETTA: Balochistan High Court Chief Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan on Friday took ‘serious notice’ of the firing incident in a sessions court of Quetta which left two people dead and seven injured.

The armed clash took place between two rival groups over personal enmity the other day, according to the police.

The chief justice has summoned home secretary, inspector general of police and Quetta’s capital city police officer, commissioner, deputy commissioner and Levies director general on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Quetta deputy inspector general of police, retired Capt Ghulam Azhar Mahesar, has constituted a special investigation team, headed by Investigation SSP Asad Nasar to probe into the incident.

The special team has been asked to submit its report within three days.
