J.K. Rowling to work on more movies?

The newly-combined media conglomerate Warner Bros. Discovery is shifting its strategy for movies, television and beyond. The CEO, David Zaslav, has also expressed a desire to prioritise several movie franchises — including Harry Potter.

The studio still has the theatrical rights to Lord of the Rings, and David Zaslav notes he’d like to see “if we can do something with J.K. on Harry Potter going forward.”

“We would love to develop more original Harry Potter series, and we regularly talk to JK Rowling and her team,” former Warners CEO Ann Sarnoff said late last year.

So Harry Potter fans can keep their finger crossed for some good news.

New Godzilla movie announcement

Recently, Godzilla Day for 2022 was quite the celebration, with a new film in Japan being confirmed to arrive in November 2023. Aside from the release date and the logo being revealed, the next movie has kept its story details close to its chest, leaving many fans to wonder whether the upcoming movie will continue Shin Godzilla’s story that arrived in 2016.

The movie was created by anime legend Hideaki Anno, who most might know for his work on Neon Genesis Evangelion. While Anno won’t be returning for this new film, he will release another entry in the Shin Universe. Whether we’ll ever see Shin Godzilla return to the silver screen is anyone’s guess though the latest Japanese take on the lizard king might be one of the kaiju’s best to date.

Pink is back with new music

Pink recently released a single and music video for the song “Never Gonna Not Dance Again”, where she sings about loving dance even through hard times.

“If someone told me that the world would end tonight / You could take all that I got, for once I wouldn’t start a fight / take my dinner, take my fun / My birthday cake, my soul, my dog, take everything I love / But, oh, one thing I’m never gonna do / Is throw away my dancin’ shoes,” she sings.

The music video shows Pink roller skate through a grocery store, where she meets other shoppers and starts a dance party.

“Never Gonna Not Dance Again” is Pink’s second single of 2022, following “Irrelevant.” The singer released her eighth studio album, Hurts 2B Human, in April 2019.
