Steps being taken to ensure speedy justice: BHC CJ
QUETTA: Balochistan High Court (BHC) Chief Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan on Sunday said measures were being taken to provide speedy justice to citizens at their doorsteps.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of a judicial complex building in Basima area of Kharan district, Justice Afghan said the mission was to provide swift justice and the judicial complex in Basima will prove to be a “fortress of justice”.
He said people have hopes from the judiciary and it was trying to live up to the expectations by delivering timely justice.
The chief justice also visited the Civil Hospital, Government Boys High School and a college where he reviewed the work on under construction buildings.
He also formally announced the status of ‘sessions division’ for Basima.
The event was attended by DG Health Noor Qazi, C&W and education secretaries, Rakhshan Division Commissioner Tariq Rehman Baloch, Rakhshan DIG Nazeer Ahmed Kurd, Washuk Deputy Commissioner Abdul Quddus Achakzai, Kharan Deputy Commissioner Munir Ahmed Musani, tribal elders and lawyers from Khuzdar, Panjgur and Kharan bars.
BHC judges Justice Muhammad Hashim Khan Kakar and Justice Abdullah Baloch, Balochistan High Court Bar Association President Abdul Majeed Kakar, Quetta Bar Association President Abid Panizai and other lawyers also spoke on the occasion.
