Court not responsible for providing helipad services, IHC CJ tells PTI’s lawyer

Islamabad High Court (IHC) Chief Justice Aamer Farooq said that the administration would make a decision regarding the PTI’s petition for holding a public procession on Nov 26 and landing of a helicopter carrying Imran Khan at Parade Ground.

During the hearing, Justice Farooq said the party’s plea to the administration had not yet been rejected and the court was not “responsible for providing helipad services”.

Imran’s counsel asked the IHC chief justice to direct the administration to “issue a verdict on our petition according to the law”.

In response, Justice Farooq said that the administration would already be making a decision according to the law and not against it. The hearing was subsequently adjourned.
