PTI gets conditional permit for Rawalpindi rally
The deputy commissioner of Rawalpindi has given the conditional go-ahead to the PTI for holding a rally in the garrison city.
According to the 56-point notification issued by the deputy commissioner's office, the PTI has been reminded that anti-state slogans are strictly prohibited while delivering a speech against "constitutional offices, armed forces and the judiciary" is also not allowed during the rally.
The notification said the rally venue (Faizabad) should be vacated on the night of November 26 in view of the expected arrival of the England team to Rawalpindi on Nov 27. The administration also asked the PTI to arrange "video recording of the whole event and the same should be provided unedited to the police after the termination of the public gathering".
The notification warned that the party and the organisers could face legal proceedings in case of a violation of any of the prescribed guidelines.
