The beauty of autumn

This is with reference to the article “The beauty of autumn” by Benazir Raz (YW, October 29). The article wonderfully covered the beauty of autumn that most of us fail to notice.

It is true that most people loath autumn for its mellowness and the mix of dry hot and cold weather. However, there is more to observe. This season holds calmness and takes away all the old and dead leaves from the trees, giving way to fresh and new leaves.

In my opinion, we should appreciate all the seasons, and also celebrate their uniqueness and feel positive towards them.

Never have I ever imagined autumn as having hidden beauty, and just when I read “The beauty of autumn” by Benazir Raz, I fell in love with the uniqueness of this season.

Believe it or not, I have started to notice and appreciate the change that is actually the sign of new life that is on the way. It was an amazing article, I suggest to the YW team to publish articles that celebrate and highlight the beauty of seasons.

This is regarding the story “The washer woman’s cry” by Zara Ahmad (YW, December 3).

The story described beautifully how important ethics are in one’s life. We should always be ready to help someone in need. Our success is not just a degree, in fact our success is our ethics and our good behaviour towards others.

Nature’s finest doctors

This is with reference to the article, “Nature’s finest doctors” by Faraz Ahmed (YW, November 12). The article was well-articulated and the information in it was worth reading.

After reading this article, I realised the importance of these flowers that are easily available to us, but we hardly notice them. We should explore nature and connect with it to bring more harmony in our life.

Banana cookie

This is regarding the Cook-it-yourself section, “Banana cookie” by Aamnah Arshad (YW, December 3). I tried the banana cookie and found it to be super delicious. I really liked the easy recipes in this section; however, I have noticed that the recipes are mostly of cakes and biscuits.

I would like to request the writer to include variations in items, such as some traditional savoury items, as they make a good combination with tea.
