PHC seeks comments
PESHAWAR, Jan 4: The Peshawar High Court on Wednesday stayed the admission of two students recommended by the FATA Secretariat for admission to public sector medical colleges against FR Bannu seats and issued notices to the respondents. A single bench headed by Justice Shahjehan Yousafzai, after hearing the arguments, issued notice to the FATA Secretariat and directed that a reply be submitted within a fortnight.
The counsel for the petitioner submitted that his client, Nisar Ahmed, had obtained a percentage of 86.07 and was recommended by the Joint Admission Committee, NWFP public sector medical colleges, for admission against the FR Bannu quota.
The defence counsel argued that the FATA Secretariat had recommended two students, Abidullah, having a percentage of 75.54, and Miss Roshna, having a percentage of 78.1, and dropped the name of the petitioner who had obtained a percentage of 86.07 in the entry test.
He prayed to the court to stay the admission of the two students and grant interim relief.
