Ramiz seeks pension from PCB

LAHORE: Former Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Ramiz Raja on Thursday demanded the PCB his pension as former Test cricketer, as he had crossed the age of 60.

Dawn has learnt that though the PCB has no objection regarding the payment, it has asked Ramiz to sign a code of conduct which is a condition to become eligible for the pension. Under that code of conduct, the cricketer is bound not to criticise the PCB in the media.

Sarfaraz Nawaz, another former Test cricketer, who has been a vocal critic of the PCB in the media, is also in the court of law as the PCB hasn’t paid his pension for five years.
