IAS convocation

LAHORE: Punjab University acting Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Asghar Zaidi urged the youth to keep their mind free from slavery and rely on their own abilities instead of others.

He was addressing the convocation of the university’s Institute of Administrative Sciences (IAS) on Saturday.

IAS Director Prof Dr Yamina Salman, Prof Dr Kashif Rathore, faculty members, students and their parents were present at the convocation.

Congratulated the graduates, he stressed hard work and dedication on their part in the practical life to serve the country. He added the job of teachers was not only to give their students degrees and education but also help them develop skills according to the market needs.

Ms Salman also spoke and highlighted the performance of the IAS. She said the steps were being taken to promote the research culture at the

institute. Degrees and medals were also distri-buted among 310 graduates of the session of 2019.
