Swabi residents assured of ‘smooth’ gas supply

SWABI: The Sui North-ern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) assured the consumers at an open kutchery held here on Fridayof doing away with low gas pressure and outages.

SNGPL’s Mardan region general manager Waqasullah Shinwari had called the forum at its regional office.

Qaumi Watan Party district chairman Masood Jabbar Khan, PML-N’s Swabi tehsil president Malik Abdul Ahad Khan and other leaders asked the SNGPL officials to resolve low gas pressure issue. They also demanded of SNGPL to set up a pipes’ storage in Swabi as pipes were often brought from Mardan in case of repair of lines.

The SNGPL officials assured the political leaders that gas problems of the people would be resolved on priority basis.

INJURED: Three people, including two children, were injured when a car and a motorcycle collided on the Zaida bypass road on Friday, Rescue 1122 officials said.

They said as a result of collusion, Shahzad Khan, 15, Abu Bakr, 10, and Ayan Khan, 8, were injured, who were shifted to Bacha Khan Hospital Complex, Shahmansoor.

Also in the day, four persons were injured when two motorcycles collided in front of the Nadra office on Swabi-Jehangira Road. The injured were taken to Bacha Khan Hospital Complex. nt
