Fast X trailer: Vin Diesel takes on Jason Momoa
Universal Pictures shared a trailer for the new action film Fast X, featuring Vin Diesel and Jason Momoa.
Fast X is a sequel to F9 (2021) and the 11th film in the Fast & Furious franchise. The film will see Dom Toretto (Diesel), and his family and friends take on Dante (Momoa), the son of Brazilian drug kingpin Hernan Reyes, who seeks revenge on Dom.
“Dante’s plot will scatter Dom’s family from Los Angeles to the catacombs of Rome, from Brazil to London and from Portugal to Antarctica. New allies will be forged and old enemies will resurface. But everything changes when Dom discovers that his own eight-year-old son (Leo Abelo Perry) is the ultimate target of Dante’s vengeance,” an official synopsis reads. Fast X opens in theatres May 19.
All about Toy Story 5
Disney and Pixar are bringing back our favourite toys for another adventure. There is no Toy Story 5 release date, but Disney has confirmed its existence as one of several sequels that are in the pipeline. Frozen 3 and Zootopia 2 were revealed as well.
It is likely that Toy Story 5 will bring in social media and modern tech as Bonnie grows up and gets a phone. The cast for Toy Story 5 hasn’t been announced, but we know it’ll feature Tim Allen, who tweeted about his return shortly after announcement. Tom Hanks seems a sure bet as well, for Woody. Annie Potts as Bo Peep, Tony Hale as Forky, John Ratzenberger as Hamm, and Blake Calrk as Slinky Dog are all but assured, having been involved in every appearance of their respective characters thus far.
Spider-Man Noir TV series
Sony is taking their roster of Spider-Man Marvel characters into television, as well as movies, with a live-action Spider-Man noir series being developed.
The untitled series will follow an older, grizzled superhero in 1930s New York City. The show will be set in its own universe and the main character will not be Peter Parker. Although Sony has owned the rights to Spider-Man and a vast rogue’s gallery of Spider-Man villains for many years, they have recently massively ramped up the development of movies.
The Spider-Man Noir comics originally debuted in 2009 as part of the Marvel Noir universe. That version of the iconic superhero lives in New York during the Great Depression. He is bitten by a spider hidden inside a stolen artifact, causing him to have visions of a spider-god who grants him superpowers.
