PESHAWAR: In a massive reshuffle in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police, 32 senior police officers were transferred, including those who were recently placed at the disposal of the provincial government.

According to a notification issued from the police chief’s office late on Tuesday night, nine officers have been transferred to the Counter-Terrorism Department. Sher Akbar, who was recently placed at the disposal of the KP government, has been posted as additional inspector general CTD, and Imran Shahid as deputy inspector general CTD finance.

Besides, district police officer, Bannu Mohammad Iqbal, DPO Dera Ismail Khan Mohammad Shoaib, DPO Karak Khan Zeb, DPO Buner Imran Khan, SSP operations Peshawar Kashif Aftab Ahmad Abbasi, sub-divisional police officer (SDPO) Luqman Khan and SDPO Amjad Ali were also placed at the disposal of CTD.

The notification said Nasir Mahmood Satti, whose services were recently placed at the disposal of the KP government, has been posted as regional police officer Malakand; Saqib Ismail Memon as AIG Special Brach and Abdul Ghafoor Afridi as RPO Dera Ismail Khan. Mohammad Saleem Marwat, RPO Dera Ismail Khan, has been transferred and posted DIG intelligence Special Branch, KP.

DIG operations Asif Iqbal Momand has been transferred and posted as DIG investigation; AIG operations Mohammad Suleman has been transferred and posted as DIG police internal accountability branch, Central Police Office, and Najeebur Rehman Bugvi [upon his arrival to KP] has been posted as DPO Mardan.

DIG internal accountability branch Irfanullah Khan has been transferred and posted as DIG operations; RPO Malakand Sajjad Khan has been transferred and posted DIG security and survey, Special Branch; DPO Mardan Haroon Rashid Khan has been posted as SSP operations, Peshawar, and DPO Kohat Abdul Rauf Babar has been transferred and posted as DPO Dera Ismail Khan.

DPO Lakki Marwat Ziauddin Ahmad has been transferred and posted as DPO Bannu, SSP traffic Peshawar Shahzada Umar Abbas has been transferred and posted as DPO Kohat, SP investigations, Capital City Police (CCP) Ayesha Gull has been transferred and posted as SSP coordination Peshawar; Farhan Khan, who was awaiting posting, has been made DPO Buner; AIG complaints and inquiries Mohammad Ashfaq Khan has been posted as Lakki Marwat DPO; additional SP Kohat Bilal Ahmad has been transferred and posted as DPO Torghar; director Police Training School Qamar Hayat has been transferred and posted as SSP traffic Peshawar; SP Special Branch, Falak Niaz has been transferred and posted as AIG operations, and SP Special Branch Iftikhar Shah has been transferred and posted as DPO Karak.

Also, acting DPO Torghar Arbab Shafiullah Jan has been placed at the disposal of Commandant Elite Force, KP; SDPO Hayatabad Dr Mohammad Umar has been transferred and posted as acting SP Faqirabad, CCP Peshawar; acting SP and traffic warden Swat, Arshad Khan has been transferred and posted as acting SP Warsak, CCP Peshawar.
