Polls only way to steer country out of crises, says PTI leader

THATTA: Immediate elections are the only remedy to pull the country out of political, social and economic crises as the imported government at the Centre and its federating unit Sindh have miserably failed to rein in skyrocketing inflation, flare-up in terrorism, lawlessness, suicides and to tackle situation on the foreign policy front.

This was stated by Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf’s (PTI) parliamentary leader in Sindh Assembly Khurram Sher Zaman while talking with local media personnel during his surprise visit of the district headquarter hospital Thatta at Makli here on Friday. He contended that the entire leadership of the 13-party ruling alliance was highly scared of PTI’s leader Imran Khan.

He was of the firm belief that if the elections were held immediately, the PTI would definitely sweep to the victory throughout the country and almost the entire Pakistan Democratic Alliance (PDM) leadership was bound to face the music due to its misdeeds.

Answering a question about the digital census in Sindh, Mr Sher Zaman responded by saying: “Please, ask those demanding the digital census and tell them that they have been exposed before the masses. Now the people will never be befooled by their dramas.”

He claimed that the PTI would make the next government in Sindh and a new era of prosperity of the province was bound to begin then.

Mr Zaman alleged that a conspiracy against the people of Pakistan and PTI was in fact hatched at Bilawal House under the umbrella of Asif Zardari, who was a known character in Pakistani politics for ruining Sindh in particular through corruption. He was the person responsible for shrinking the Pakistan Peoples Party and entrusting it to Waderas.

About the ongoing campaign of Mariyam Nawaz against Imran Khan, he said there was no comparison between internationally acclaimed leader Imran Khan and Nawaz Sharif and his 35 cronies belonging to the rejected parties.

Commenting on the overall performance of the district headquarter hospital, he said that major health facility required more ambulances, a fully-fledged cardiology ward and ventilator.
