4,235 BZU graduates receive degrees

LAHORE: As many as 4,235 degrees were awarded to graduates at the 16th convocation of the Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU), Multan, on Friday.

LHC former chief justice Qasim Khan was the chief guest at the convocation while Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Ali Shah, Registrar Zubair Khan, Controller of Examinations Prof Dr Amanullah, Emerson University VC Dr Muhammad Ramzan, faculty members, students and their parents were also present.

As many as 192 gold medals were distributed among the position holders. The graduates of eight faculties, including Arts and Social Science, Islamic Studies and Languages, Science, Agricultural Science and Technology, Commerce, Law and Business Administration, Engineering, Pharmacy and Veterinary Science, were given degrees.

The former CJ distributed gold medals among the position holders.

Addressing the ceremony, he said knowledge would open new ways for the youth and anyone could succeed by their expertise.

Mr Khan said they were living in a global village and a mobile device had connected the world and now they could use the technology to get benefits.

He advised the graduates to earn a good name for their teachers and also provide financial help to their alma mater and give scholarships to the deserving students after becoming successful in life.
