Andy Serkis would “jump” at doing new Lord of the Rings movies

Andy Serkis, who famously portrayed Lord of the Rings character Gollum in Peter Jackson’s trilogy, has made it clear he’d happily come back for new movies if the opportunity arises.

“I think that there are so many other potential Middle-earth projects which could come about, and if they’re doing them, I would, of course, jump at the chance to have that relationship rekindled … Middle-earth has never left me,” he disclosed.

The studio and New Line have made a deal for “multiple” films based on the illustrious franchise, causing widespread discussion over where new entries could go. We’ve have The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. Whatever happens, keep an eye out for Serkis.

Avengers 5, Disney announces new team of heroes

Avengers 5 will be the group’s first full team-up since Avengers: Endgame closed out the Infinity Saga in 2019. This team is rumoured to feature Captain America, Shang-Chi, and Shuri’s Black Panther as three of the key players going against Kang the Conqueror.

However, that team is guaranteed to expand over the next couple of years, and there is a major death rumoured to come for one of Kang Dynasty’s heroes.

Recently, Disney CEO Bob Iger told how Marvel Studios must balance fan-favourite characters with the introduction of new faces, teasing “a lot of newness” in the MCU’s future.

Avengers: The Kang Dynasty is currently set to release on May 2, 2025.

New Spider-Man show release date

MCU’s upcoming Disney+ series, Spider-Man: Freshman is set to bean exciting prospect for Peter Parker’s MCU origin story being told, but it’s gone through more than its fair share of issues.

Nearly a dozen exciting villains are set to take the spotlight alongside a younger take on the web-slinger, whose story will be explored in a way that hasn’t been seen in the live-action MCU. And there is the inclusion of other big names from across the Marvel universe, like Charlie Cox’s Daredevil.

Freshman Year is now eyeing a late 2024 release date on Disney+, though it has not been confirmed by Marvel Studios.
