Body of missing man found
TAXILA: A bullet-riddled body of a 24-year-old man was found at a deserted place in Attock on Saturday.
Police sources said that Hamza Ali, son of a local PTI leader, went out of the house on his motorcycle to meet some of his friends but did not return.
Later his body was found near a technical college in Dhoke Fateh on Saturday.
Police shifted the body to district headquarters hospital for autopsy after registration of a murder case and launched further investigation.
Meanwhile, a local court in Attock on Saturday sentenced a man to life in a murder case.
The accused murdered a man over a land dispute in Dhoke Hafizabad in Jand police station area.
The Additional district and session judge Mohammad Farrukh Hameed also imposed a fine of Rs200,000 on the accused Afzal Khan.
According to the FIR registered under section 302 of Pakistan Penal Code (PPC), the accused shot and killed a man over a land dispute. The prosecution produced substantial evidence against the accused which established involvement of Mr Khan in the murder and sentenced him to life and imposed a fine worth Rs200,000.
Moreover, the Hassanabdal police have arrested three suspected robbers along with weapons and ammunition.
