Saying goodbye is never easy

Goodbyes are associated with separation and is a very difficult experience. The story “Saying goodbye is never easy” by Ayaan Saqib explained the feelings one goes through while being separated from their friends.

But life is a journey, where people come, meet and go away. After reading this story, I learned two things — first, friendship is a very precious bond that keeps you attached with your friends even after you get separated.

And the other is your family, support you and remain with you throughout your difficult time.

Work for the cause, not the applause

This is regarding the article “Work for the cause, not the applause” by Sumaiya Farooq (YW, February 25). Sometimes when we don’t get words of appreciation from people around us, we end up lacking inspiration.

It is not necessary that we get the feedback for our effort immediately. However, it is human nature to look for encouragement and words of appreciation, because they boost confidence and we feel more accountable for our work.

But according to the writer, one should not do things for getting appreciation, or focus more on appreciation. Instead, one should work hard and focus on his/her output.

My first internship

This is regarding the article “My first internship” by Zayna Rehman (YW, February 25). The story gave a lesson on how experiences and challenges can make you stronger.

Experiences give you exposure to life and they are the building blocks for one’s personality growth. I agree with the writer that when one starts something challenging, there are bound to be problems.

In my opinion, challenges make you stronger — whether you like it or not, you are bound to face challenges, and, consequently, they give you more strength.

Real happiness

This is regarding the story “Real happiness” by Iqra Batool (YW, February 25). Happiness is basically a state of mind. Real happiness comes from within. It can also be achieved by being positive and avoiding any negative thoughts in your mind.

It is also achieved when you work hard, go out and help people in need; making someone happy is actually real happiness. We should improve our behaviour and way of dealing with others.
