Five killed as rivals trade fire over property dispute in Swat

SWAT: Five persons were killed and three others critically injured when two groups traded fire over a property dispute in Salampur area here on Saturday night, the police said.

Saidu Sharif police officials said the exchange of fire occurred in Damama Gut area of Salampur union council.

They said three persons, including Sanaullah, Kamal Khan and Seema from one group, were killed on the spot, while three others, including Shahidullah, Sahil and Rahimullah from the same group, were injured critically.

They said Amir Khan and Gulab Khan were killed from the other group.

The police reached the spot and shifted the injured to the Saidu Sharif Teaching Hospital.

The police also registered cases against both the groups.

Meanwhile, two persons along with 20 goats were killed when they were hit by a speeding car in Naway Kalay area of Khwazakhela tehsil on Saturday evening.

Khwazakhela police officials said one person was also injured in the incident. Khan Sher, a resident of Chaliyar area, and Khan Kho, a resident of Mankiyal, died on the spot, while Sher Alam was seriously injured.

The injured was shifted to Tehsil Hospital Khwazakhela.

The police registered an FIR against the car driver after arresting him.
