COPILOT’s Dr. Moby Kazmi named finalist for EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2023 Florida Award
COPILOT Provider Support Services Inc’s Co-Founder and President, Dr. Moby Kazmi, has been named a finalist for the Entrepreneur of the Year 2023 Florida Award by Ernst & Young LLP (EY US). The award recognises transformative entrepreneurs and high-growth business leaders who are building a more sustainable and equitable world. Dr. Kazmi’s recognition came after evaluation by an independent panel of judges who assessed the long-term value he has created through his entrepreneurial spirit, purpose, growth, and impact.
Dr. Kazmi established COPILOT Provider Support Services Inc in 2010, which has since become a leading HUB specialty patient support services portfolio company. The company provides technologically advanced patient access services for the life-sciences industry. In his role as President, Dr. Kazmi oversees the development of innovative bio-pharma reimbursement HUB solutions that have improved patient outcomes by overcoming access to treatment barriers. Under his leadership, COPILOT transitioned to a hybrid workforce during the COVID-19 pandemic and provided better remote access for reimbursement challenges while creating new jobs.
Dr. Kazmi said, “COPILOT was built to provide better healthcare experiences and outcomes for patients and physicians. This recognition is a wonderful form of validation as we continue to create impact in the lives of those we serve every day.”
As part of COPILOT, Dr. Kazmi established and drives COPILOT Cares, a charitable initiative that benefits underprivileged children and families around the world through a variety of philanthropic efforts. One of COPILOT Cares’ key investments is the installation of hand pumps for clean water where access is lacking. To date, COPILOT Cares has installed more than 400 hand pumps in India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka, providing clean water to families on a global scale.
Dr. Kazmi was recently awarded CEO of the Year by Orlando Business Journal, and recognised as one of the National Minority Quality Forum’s 2021 ‘40 Under 40’ Leaders in Minority Health. He currently sits on the Board for AdventHealth for Children.
Dr. Kazmi’s recognition as a finalist for the Entrepreneur of the Year 2023 Florida Award comes after his significant contributions to the healthcare industry through innovative solutions and philanthropy. The regional award winners will be announced on June 8, and the national judges will consider them for the Entrepreneur of the Year National Awards presented in November. The overall winner will then move on to compete for the EY World Entrepreneur of The Year Award in June 2024.
