Michael Kugelman, an analyst and scholar of South Asian affairs, is of the view that the nature of relations between PTI Chairman Imran Khan and the army chief could prove most consequential in the ongoing “confrontations” in Pakistan.

“There are two confrontations playing out in Pakistan — Khan and the state, and the Supreme Court and the state.

“But it’s the nature of relations between the key people — Khan and the army chief, and the army chief and rest of senior army leadership, that could prove most consequential,” he says in a tweet.
