Govt laments judiciary’s ‘best wishes’ for Imran
Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has lamented the way Chief Justice of Pakistan Umar Ata Bandial “welcomed” PTI Chairman Imran Khan post his arrest.
In a press conference, he said that Imran had caused damages worth billions of rupees and had refused to be investigated for it. “And when NAB arrested him, he held protests in a specific direction leading to attacks on state institutions.
“But when he comes to the Supreme Court after that, he is welcomed by best wishes … and what happened at the Islamabad High Court next week … everything is in front of you,” he said.
