President Arif Alvi has said that PTI chief Imran Khan should condemn the events of May 9.

He expressed these views on Geo News programme ‘Capital Talk’ in response to journalist Hamid Mir’s remark that Imran had not “openly condemned” the events yet.

“You should ask him (Imran) about this. He should [condemn],” the president said in his reply and nodded when Mir again asked him whether Imran should condemn.

However, Alvi also pointed out that Imran had given a statement saying that “no matter what happens to him, stay peaceful”.
